Training resumes for Juvenile Athletics on Thursday, 3rd November.

Well done to all who took part in the Munster Novice and Juvenile Even Age Cross Country Championships today in Carrignabfhear. Despite a fast field with some heavy competition, St Catherines AC had some great results.

The U18 girls team were placed 3rd team overall. Laura Hayes and Meghan Carr were both on the Cork winning teams in their respective races. Great running also by Leila Carr who came in as 7th Cork finisher, just missing out on a medal.

Well done to all who took part in all categories – you all did the club proud today.

Boys U10 and U12 team (and Doireann) at the Munster Even Age Cross Country Championships

The final Monday Mile of this series will take place this coming Monday 24th October at 8.10pm, immediately after juvenile training.

Help is now really needed so that we can continue to run Little Athletics every Monday. A minimum of 6 adults are required on the night for the session to go ahead.

In the medium term, more coaches are needed to ensure the club can continue Little Athletics into the future.

Well done to our Girls U17 team who came home as County Champions today after winning a very tight race against Leevale AC. Both teams were tied on points at the finish line, but St Catherine’s won through count back (based on the position of the fourth team member). Very well done to the girls, you should be very proud!

• Well done to all of our athletes who competed in last weekends County T&F and the Cork to Cobh 15 Mile
• Last night the club had the monthly 3k time trial. Results available here
• Adult Club Kit – Orders are now being placed for the club kits. If you haven’t paid your deposit (10 euro per item) please do so in order to secure your order. Samples are available to try tonight. Last orders/Deposites will be taken on Thursday.

On Sunday St Catherines A.C. will host the Cork Athletics County Novice Cross-Country Championship. This will be held in Aghen (around 1 mile up from the big tree bar). More info available here
