Our Annual Charity Christmas 3k will be held on Tuesday 15th December at 7pm in Conna Sports Field. Entry is 5 euro with proceeds going to St Vincent’s De Paul

AGM
The club’s AGM will be held in Conna Hall at 8:30pm on Fri 11th December.
We would encourage parents and members to attend the meeting to share their views
and opinions and help us guide the club through 2016.

End of Year Social
It has become a small tradition of ours to directly follow the AGM with a social night out.
This year we will go to the Big Tree, Aghern and hope to be there from 9:45 pm (a good
reason to keep our AGM short and to the point!) We welcome adult club members and parents
to come and join us.

Goal Mile
The Goal mile will be held in Ballynoe GAA pitch on Christmas day from 11am-Midday

Nov 2015 notes – Cross Country Continues

The Club would like to thank all the volunteers who helped out over the Saturday and Sunday when the club hosted the County Juvenile B Cross Country and Masters Championships in Shankil. Many thanks to landowner John Mulcahy who allowed his field to be invaded by enthusiastic runners and supporters. Similar to previous week-ends our Juveniles have been in action once more, this time a small group of athletes made the journey to a rain-swept and windswept Beaufort, County Kerry to participate in the Munsters. Congratulations to Leila O’Reilly (11th) girls U-11, Conor Hayes (63) Boys U-11, Meghan Carr
(4th) Girls U-13, Laura Hayes (4th) and Caoimhe Hayes (28th) Girls U-17.

Best of Luck

Best of luck to club members Kathleen O’Brien and Frank Hayes who will represent Cork in the 28th British and Irish Masters Cross Country in Dublin this Saturday 14th November.

Day 2 of the East Cork Uneven age, novice and Senior Championships takes place in Carraig na Bhfear this Sunday 15th November. First race is at 11.30. This event is open to all registered juvenile athletes

October 2015 News

Silverware success at Munsters

Last Sunday the club traveled to WIT to participate in the Munster Even age Cross Country. Conor Hayes and Charlie Nicholson ran in a large U-10 Field followed by Leila O’Reilly and Lucy Barry in the Girls U-12. Kevin Barry was our sole representative in the boys U-14 on this hilly course. The first of our silverware winners was Meghan Carr in the U-14 girls race who ran superbly to come home in second position and also the first Cork girl home. Our Girls U-16 team made up of Sara Barry, Laura Hayes, Caoimhe Hayes, Sarah Mulcahy and Natalie Nicholson retained their winning form by winning a team silver and following yet another determined second place finish for Laura Hayes.

Dublin City Marathon

Congratulations to 3 members of our adult club who ran in the Dublin City Marathon on Bank Holiday Monday, Mike Byrne (2:48), John Beecher (2:52) and Patricia Barry (4:31). Both Mike and John were in the Top 200 runners home in an international field of almost 13,000.

County B’s

Help needed this weekend as the Club hosts the County Juvenile B, Masters and Junior B at Shanakill just outside Conna on the Tallow Road. First race gets underway at 12pm on Sunday 1st November. Please contact Frank Hayes or Steve Dunning if free to help on the Sunday or help set up course on Saturday.
