British and Irish masters cross country 15th Nov

Congratualtions to Kathleen O Brien and Frank Hayes who competed in the british and irish masters cross country on sunday 15th November in Dublin.Both had great runs despite da poor ground and wet weather.Kathleen finished 4th overall in her category and she was member of the irish team who finished 2nd. Frank was a member in the irish team who finished 3rd in their category. Well done to both.

Group Picture of St Catherines A.c members and members of Fermoy runners, who trained together every Saturday morning for the long run training and it paid off as all had Sub 3 hour Marathons Today.

Also well done to Tricia Barry who completed her first marathon today. A great achievement and a great time.

Thanks to all the local supporters who lifted the morale around the route, when it was really needed.

Bere Island 5k and 10k run Sat 4th July 2015

The Bere Island Mid summer 5k and 10k run toke place Sat 4th July on the beautiful Bere Island. A Group from the club  headed to the island to participate in both the 5k and 10k races. The scenery and beautiful surroundings took the mind off the tough course which had some lovely hills along the way and we even got a recovery dip in the sea afterwords , that’s when we eventually found the beach!!!!! ( navigator was abit out here) . Everyone enjoyed a great night out and get together afterwords on the island. Well done to everyone, a great day and night was had by all.

 

Coolagown 5k Road Race

Thank god the rain showers just held off for the annual Coolagown 5k Road race. There was a great turn out from the club and well done to everyone who toke part.

Streets of Fermoy 5k 12th May

Tuesday 12th May saw a strong crowd of 16 club members run this 5K race, with great times achieved. Well Done to all.

The Greater Manchester Marathon

Congratulations to Michael Byrne on Completing the Greater Manchester Marathon on the 19th April 2015,  in an unbelievable time of 2 Hrs 49 Mins 25 secs.  This is an average of 6 mins 27 secs pace per mile over 26.2 miles which is fantastic running and a personal best. All the Hard Training and dedication that Michael has put in the last number of months has paid off. Well done from all the members of the club.

 

Ballintotis 4 Mile Road Race

A strong attendance of 19 members  ran the Ballintotis 4 mile Last Thursday. On the first evening road race of the year attracted a great crowd of 1,170 runners. Well done to all members on completing the race and some great times were achieved.

St. Stephens Day Tallow 5k.

A great crowd from st catherines ac  travelled to tallow on 26th for the annual 5k road race. Congratulations to frank hayes who was first home and to caoimhe hayes who was first under 16 girl home and well done to all club members all running very well.

Last Night St Catherines travelled to the annual Coolagown 5k Road Race. Some great results and times  were got on the night from the large group of St Catherines athletes that travelled. Well done to all!
